Best RV Holiday Destinations

Taking your RV out on a holiday trip is an excellent way to create lasting memories with your family. This begs the question, what are the best RV holiday destinations? Here are some locations that are an accessible and enjoyable way to spend your time this winter!

Lake of the Ozarks

If you love the outdoors, then you will love the Lake of the Ozarks. The place is full of a cozy atmosphere that will leave you wanting to stay. If the idea of exploring caves intrigues you, then check out Bridal Cave, Stark Caverns, and Ozark Caverns, the latter of which is famous for its Angel Shower. If you were not aware, the Angel Shower phenomenon is a location in the cave that has a consolidated continuous stream coming from the ceiling. On top of cave exploration, you can fill the time with fun onsite activities such as spas, local wineries, or the Osage Beach Marketplace. With so much to do, you are bound to have an enjoyable RV trip at Lake of the Ozarks.

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone is one of the most popular parks in the U.S. for a reason. The 3500 sq mile park resides mostly in Wyoming; however, parts of the park extend to Montana and Idaho. There are plenty of things to do and sights to see as you travel across the park. For example, the park contains a wilderness recreation area, geysers, hot springs, and a volcano. There are five campgrounds across the park, meaning that Yellowstone National Park has no problem fitting all of its visitors. If you want a holiday trip that you are never going to forget, then consider taking the family to Yellowstone!

Grand Canyon National Park

If you want to see some breathtaking sights this holiday season, then Grand Canyon National Park is perfect for you! Located in Arizona, this national park is filled with layers of red rock that have history pouring out of them. There is plenty of hiking to be done at this park, each with its own exciting things to see!

The south rim of the Grand Canyon National Park contains a campground with every necessity and hook-up you will need. With that being said, this specific area needs to be rented as far as six months out. This means that if you plan on taking your RV to the Grand Canyon, then it can not be a last-minute decision.

Mount Washington

Mount Washington has some of the highest elevations you will ever experience while on an RV trip. You will get around through the use of the site’s Cog Railway, which has been transporting its visitors since as far back as 1869. The Cog Railway is not the only thing that is filled with history! Mount Washington contains many museums, an observatory, and the Tip-Top House, which is a hotel that was constructed in 1853. If you want a trip that is filled with history, then Mount Washington will fill that need.

Charleston, South Carolina

Charleston is a simple and inexpensive RV trip for your family. There is plenty to tour and see on location, including White Point Garden. White Point Garden is located near Charleston Harbor, and it contains many Civil War memorials and relics. The Charleston City Market is another prime spot to visit, as it is one of the oldest in the country! If you are looking for a nearby RV park, then there are plenty to choose from! For instance, Mount Pleasant is close to Charleston, and there is a plethora of things to do on the campground. These activities include nature trails and access to the Oakland Plantation.
